Greek Partners of BIO-DISTRICT APP Hold Online Coordination Meeting on WP3 Implementation

On 12 November 2025, the Greek partners of the BIO-DISTRICT APP project held an online coordination meeting dedicated to the implementation of Work Package 3 (Knowledge Sharing and Best Practices), with a particular focus on Deliverables D3.1 (Needs Assessment & State of the Art) and D3.2 (Stakeholder Mapping).

The meeting aimed to align the partners’ work under the common methodology proposed by the Lead Partner, CIHEAM Bari, ensuring that all partners follow a shared framework for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Discussions focused on how to best capture the needs and opportunities of the territories involved, as well as to identify and categorise key stakeholders contributing to sustainable rural development through the bio-district approach.

Participants exchanged insights on mapping strategies and agreed to consider all relevant sectors addressed by the project, including agrifood systems, organic agriculture, tourism, and arts & culture, which together reflect the multidisciplinary and community-based nature of the BIO-DISTRICT APP initiative.

The meeting was characterised by excellent cooperation, constructive dialogue, and a strong spirit of partnership, reflecting the commitment of the Greek consortium to achieving high-quality results. Partners agreed on a detailed schedule for data collection and validation, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all deliverables.

To maintain momentum, the partners have already planned their next online coordination meeting for Thursday, 20 November 2025, at 12:00, where progress on data gathering and stakeholder engagement will be reviewed.

This meeting marks another important step in building a shared understanding of how the bio-district model can foster innovation, resilience, and sustainability in cross-border rural areas. Through close collaboration and knowledge exchange, the BIO-DISTRICT APP partners continue to cultivate cooperation, and to shape a greener and more connected future across Greece and Italy.
