28 October 2026BIO-DISTRICT APP: Partners Plan the Launch of the Western Greece Living Lab
On 29 October 2026, the Lead Beneficiary of BIO-DISTRICT APP, CIHEAM Bari, held an online meeting with the project’s Greek partners — AGRIFOODWest, the Municipality of Ancient Olympia and InnoPolis — to plan the next steps of the project in Western Greece.
Aligning Activities and Timeline
During the meeting, the partners aligned the activities and the timeline for the coming months, focusing on three key areas of work:
- WP3 — Knowledge Sharing: the completion of the knowledge-sharing activities;
- WP4 — Living Lab: the launch of the Western Greece Living Lab, where local stakeholders will co-design new digital services for organic agriculture within a Bio-District approach;
- WP5 — Pilot Actions: the pilot actions that will follow.
Looking Ahead: Cross-Border Meeting in Greece
A key milestone lies ahead: in February 2027, our Italian partners will travel to Greece for a joint Living Lab session with Greek stakeholders, followed by a cross-border alignment meeting.
We would like to thank all partners for an open and constructive discussion. Through this shared commitment, BIO-DISTRICT APP continues to move forward, connecting organic farming, culture, tourism and local communities across Greece and Italy.
The BIO-DISTRICT APP project is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy 2021–2027 programme. The views and opinions expressed are those of InnoPolis and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the Managing Authority.
