Introducing Liberté: A New Digital Tool to Raise Awareness of Human Trafficking

An attractive job opportunity abroad, a monthly salary of €3,000, and a promise that all expenses will be covered. While such offers may seem appealing, they can sometimes conceal potential risks of human trafficking. Recognising these warning signs is an important step towards prevention and protection.

Liberté is a free legal information application designed for young people, developed within the European project FUTURE-ART – Sentinels of the Future: Together to Eradicate Human Trafficking.

The application aims to empower young people by providing accessible legal information and practical resources to help them identify potentially exploitative situations, understand their rights, and access relevant support services.

Through a user-friendly interface, Liberté allows users to assess whether a situation may raise legal concerns, explore their rights in clear and understandable language, and find national helplines for assistance.

The application is free of charge, accessible offline, and designed to protect users’ privacy by ensuring that the information they access is not stored.

Liberté will soon be available in six languages: English, Greek, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Turkish, promoting accessibility among young people across different countries.

The application has been developed by InnoPolis (Greece), in collaboration with associate partner Technical Engineers for Technology (TET, Jordan), and project partners Cnam (France), University of Calabria (Italy), IPS (Portugal), SEHA (Turkey), and Spin-System (Belgium).

Further information about the application and its upcoming launch will be shared soon.
