Introducing Liberté: A New Digital Tool to Raise Awareness of Human Trafficking
2 November 2026FUTURE-ART partners meet online to prepare the next phase of the project

Aigio, 3 November 2026
On 3 November 2026, the partners of the European project FUTURE-ART – Sentinels of the Future: Together to Eradicate Human Trafficking met online for their monthly coordination meeting. The project brings together organisations from Greece, France, Italy, Portugal, Türkiye and Belgium, and it is now entering one of its most important stages: completing the educational materials that will reach educators, youth workers and young people across Europe.
An online course for those who work with young people
A central topic of the meeting was the online training course for educators and youth workers. Its chapters on trafficking for sexual, labour and criminal exploitation are in their final review. Each chapter includes an “in your country” section with the relevant laws, helplines and contacts for every partner country, so that the course is practical as well as informative. For Greece, InnoPolis prepared these sections in cooperation with the national anti-trafficking line 1109 and the National Centre for Social Solidarity (EKKA).
Art as a safe way to talk about a difficult subject
The partners also discussed the Toolkit of Artistic Practices developed by InnoPolis. The toolkit offers educators concrete, step-by-step activities, including collage, forum theatre, comics, creative writing and photography. These help young people recognise false job offers, manipulation and other warning signs without ever having to speak about their own experiences. The toolkit will accompany the online course as an appendix.
The Liberté Legal App is getting closer
Another highlight was the Liberté Legal App, developed by InnoPolis with its associate partner Technical Engineers for Technology (TET, Jordan). In a few taps, the free app lets a young person check whether a situation is legal, read their rights in plain language and find help in their own country. It works offline and keeps no record of what is read. The app will be available in six languages, and its promotion has already started on social media.
Looking ahead
The next steps include a joint European Sustainability Workshop on 12 November 2026, which will look at how the project’s results can continue after its end, and the next content meeting in Calabria, Italy.
FUTURE-ART is a cooperation partnership in the field of youth, funded by the Erasmus+ programme (KA220-YOU-03F83046) and coordinated by Cnam (France). Its aim is to empower young people to recognise the signs of human trafficking and to protect themselves and each other.
