POWERWORMS Project Wins Erasmus+ “Best Practice Award”!

We are thrilled to announce that the POWERWORMS Project – VERMICOMPOSTING: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe has been awarded the prestigious “Best Practice Award” by the Erasmus+ Programme.

This award recognizes outstanding Erasmus+ projects that have demonstrated excellence in implementation, innovation, and impact. Through POWERWORMS, our consortium of dedicated partners has worked tirelessly to develop tools, training, and practical solutions to advance vermicomposting as a key method for sustainable agriculture and organic waste management across Europe.

Our achievements include:

• Conducting in-depth educational requirements analyses to understand current needs in vermicomposting practices.
• Developing an innovative Educational Toolbox with training materials, guidelines, and assessment tools.
• Creating a practical PowerWORMS Application for operational control and optimization of vermicomposting systems.
• Organizing workshops, training courses, and awareness campaigns to engage farmers, educators, and communities.
