PASSAGE: Stakeholder meeting in Corfu
20 July 2017PASSAGE: Workshop at European Week of Regions and Cities 2017
10 October 2017PASSAGE: Meeting in Tallinn
InnoPolis with the other PASSAGE project partners participated in the seminar hosted by Harju County Government in Tallinn of Estonia from 5 to 7 September 2017.
The key issue on the agenda of the seminar was how to better structure cross-border cooperation in maritime border regions for a more efficient carbon transition. This seminar was the first of a series of seminars dedicated to the elaboration of cross-border action plans in each of the border regions involved in the project. The partners had the opportunity to share their experience of cross-border governance and cooperation as well as ideas for the future in their own maritime border region.
On 6 September morning, PASSAGE partners had the chance to discuss the topic more broadly with Estonian and Finnish stakeholders gathered at the occasion of a local event of the European Week of Regions and Cities organised by PASSAGE partnership (read the relevant article in PASSAGE site).
In the afternoon of the same day, PASSAGE partners visited Paldiski, a city hosting PAKRI science and industrial park dedicated to energy and environmental technologies, a successful example of green transition. The visit of the port of Paldiski, part of the company “Port of Tallinn”, completed the good overview of the main features of the region when it comes to maritime low-carbon transition.
