Innovative soundscape applications for the mapping and conservation of biodiversity, with the participation of citizens, in the pastoral routes of Zagori

Programme: Green Fund

Description

EchoLochi is an innovative project for the recording of biodiversity, through sound and image, on the livestock trails of Zagori. Through the active participation of the citizens, a collaborative process of learning and management of the natural and cultural environment is achieved. Objectives

The main goal of the project is to record the biodiversity and sound diversity of the livestock paths of Zagori, through the active contribution of the local community of Zagori, in a collaborative process of learning and management of the natural environment. With the input of research associates and the local community, participatory research and artistic activities will be organized to detect, record, and conserve local pasture ecosystems.

As it is a pilot study of the biodiversity of Zagori, the material that will be collected will remain available at the eco-museum of Zagori for future activities, both artistic and educational, for the local community and visitors.

Through innovative sound applications for the recording and conservation of biodiversity, with the participation of citizens, in the livestock routes of Zagori the project “Echo Loci”:
