ISRICM-EU Project in a nutshell!
The transnational project “ISRICM-EU – Innovative Solutions for Refugee Integration and Crisis Mitigation in EU Member States” officially kicked off its activities, bringing together 10 experienced partners from across the EU. The project is funded under the European Social Fund Plus – Social Innovation+ (SI+) Initiative and addresses the urgent societal consequences of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. It aims to strengthen social inclusion mechanisms and implement innovative integration tools for refugees, especially Ukrainian nationals, across Member States.
The project is coordinated by ICSD (International Centre for Sustainable Development) – Greece, with the active participation of expert partners such as INNOPOLIS (Greece), DRPDNM (Slovenia), AMIS (Czech Republic), FS (Germany), IRIS (Italy), NWA (Sweden), Bozhurite (Bulgaria), UCGS (Poland), and Fundación Salentina (Spain).
A Strong Collaborative Start

Bilateral Meeting ICSD–INNOPOLIS – 22 May 2025
A focused bilateral exchange took place to ensure shared understanding of assigned deliverables. INNOPOLIS received technical clarification on all actions related to WP3, aligning upcoming milestones with stakeholder engagement plans in Greece.

Face-to-Face Kick-off Meeting – 14–15 July 2025, Ioannina
The full consortium met for a two-day strategic planning workshop. Each Work Package was presented in depth, including INNOPOLIS’s contribution to digital learning, cultural itineraries, bio-waste mapping, and awareness campaigns. The event provided an excellent forum for in-person collaboration, discussion on refugee integration tools, and collective alignment on dissemination strategy.

The project is now fully launched, and implementation has begun across all workstreams. In the coming months, local activities will roll out in multiple countries, aiming to empower refugees, engage youth, and promote inclusive and sustainable social solutions.
