InnoPolis to Present BIO-DISTRICT APP at the 64th FITCE European Congress

InnoPolis — Centre for Innovation and Culture is pleased to announce the participation of its President, Aikaterini Sotiropoulou, as an invited speaker at the 64th FITCE European Congress, to be held on 14–15 May 2026 at the Conference Centre, University of Patras, Rio, Greece.

The congress, convened under the theme “Assessing the Prospects of Intelligence-Driven Networks and Applications in Europe”, brings together researchers, engineers, and policymakers at the forefront of telecommunications and digital infrastructure across the continent.

Ms. Sotiropoulou will deliver a presentation entitled:

“From Living Labs to Digital Platforms: Strengthening Bio-Districts and Sustainable Agriculture in Europe”

Session II — Thursday, 14 May 2026 | 14:10–14:35

The presentation draws on the scientific and operational framework of the BIO-DISTRICT APP project (Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy, MIS 6005158), an approved cross-border cooperation initiative co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The project mobilises the living lab methodology to co-design and co-develop an interoperable digital platform with organic farming stakeholders in Western Greece and Puglia, Italy — advancing data integration, participatory governance, and climate-neutral territorial development within the bio-district model.

InnoPolis serves as a key project partner, contributing expertise in digital innovation, open-innovation ecosystems, and cross-border knowledge transfer within the programme area.

We look forward to a productive exchange at this distinguished scientific forum.
