27 September 2019Tackle fuel poverty programme: Energy cooperative in Paxos
InnoPolis proudly announces that, with the support of Municipality of Paxos Island, applied to The Social Innovation to Tackle Fuel Poverty programme, an initiative co-created by Ashoka and the Schneider Electric Foundation.
The programme aims to identify and engage 15-20 innovative organizations working in the field of fuel poverty and energy sustainability in five European countries: Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. The winners will be announced at an event during COP23 in Bonn, Germany and they will receive support through a fully-funded personalized mentoring program by high-achieving business consultants and mentors, who will help them develop a strategy to scale up and amplify their positive impact on society and on the environment.
This application aims to mature the effort of InnoPolis and its co-partners from the straits of Otranto and Corfu using the policy instrument “INTERREG V A Greece-Italy” in the frame of PASSAGE project, to create an Action Plan towards climate change mitigation and low-carbon economy in the above-mentioned straits.
