Digital and participatory tools to discover European citizenship opportunities for adults and adult educators living in rural areas

The “BIO-DISTRICT APP” project aims to advance sustainable and resilient organic farming practices and tools in the target region and at the cross-border level. It will pursue this objective by adopting a bio-district approach within which innovative digital services will be developed through the Living Labs methodology to deliver through a common digital platform across Italian and Greek regions. The partnership involves: CIHEAM Bari, LAME BIODISTRICT ASSOCIATION, Regional Agency Forestry and Irrigation, AGrifood west, Innopolis and the Municipality of Ancient Olympia.

Specifically, it seeks to achieve the following expected changes:
– Strengthen the resilience of the organic farming sector by facilitating cooperation and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders
within bio-districts. The project will empower local communities and actors to adapt to economic and environmental challenges,
reinforcing the resilience of the entire target regions.
– Create a harmonious synergy between organic farming, territorial values, and bio-districts, contributing to the long-term
sustainability and prosperity of the cross-border regions involved, with a special focus on the civilians.
– Develop and implement a common digital platform providing innovative digital services that will enhance the organic agriculture
sector in the target regions.
