Description
The project promotes opportunities related to European citizenship in education, work, and mobility, while developing digital and participatory skills. DIGIZENSHIP will provide high-quality, flexible adult learning programs that encourage lifelong learning across all ages and generations. By fostering these skills, the project aims to help rural residents better understand and utilize digital tools to engage with European citizenship opportunities.
A key objective of the project is to build a network of rural adult educators who actively promote civic engagement and European citizenship possibilities. This network will help rural communities feel more connected to the EU and better understand its values and principles.
DIGIZENSHIP supports European democracy by raising awareness, enhancing skills, and strengthening community ties. It empowers rural residents to embrace their European citizenship and contributes to building a more inclusive, engaged, and informed European society.
The project also promotes intergenerational dialogue by encouraging interaction between older and younger generations. Through adult-youth programs, training sessions, and community events, DIGIZENSHIP will create spaces where younger participants can share their perspectives on European citizenship with older generations. These activities—such as lectures, panel discussions, and interactive events—will make intergenerational discourse more dynamic and inclusive. By fostering such engagement, the project aims to strengthen community connections and enhance understanding of European citizenship across all age groups.
