PowerWorms project Kick-Off meeting in Malatya, Turkey

On June 3, 2022, the Kick-Off meeting for the Erasmus+ project “VERMICOMPOSTING: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe” was held in Malatya, Turkey. The “PowerWorms” project, aims to develop a sustainable and eco-friendly way of managing organic waste by using vermicomposting, which involves the use of worms to break down organic matter into nutrient-rich compost.

The meeting was attended by all partners, who presented their ideas and objectives for the project. Discussions were held on the general organization of the project, its objectives, intellectual outputs, and content. Tasks and responsibilities were distributed among the partners, and a dissemination and visibility plan was also devised.

Apart from the discussions, the participants also visited the Arslantepe Mount and the Gastronomy Museum, where they learned about the cultural and historical heritage of Malatya. These activities helped to foster teamwork and promote cultural exchange among the partners.

In conclusion, the PowerWorms project has the potential to revolutionize the way we manage organic waste and promote sustainable agriculture across Europe. By using vermicomposting, we can reduce our impact on the environment and create a more eco-friendly and sustainable future for generations to come.
