PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The overall objective of the project is the valorisation of cultural and natural resources such as olive oil, wine and cereals, encouraging the adoption of healthy eating habits like Mediterranean Diet. The proposal of new tourist itineraries wants to be an opportunity for the cross-border area, exploiting the silver economy as an asset of growth, that is expected to affect almost every segment of the world economy in the near future. For this, Silver Wellbeing specific objective is the implementation of innovative tools developed in cooperation between different sectors such as: tourism, healthcare and agri-food.

OBJECTIVES

The project specific objectives are:

1. to implement innovative tools developed in cooperation between different sectors such as: tourism, healthcare and agri-food;

2. to create a “brand” of Mediterranean Diet, which could be easily recognized and spread also in markets outside the eligible area. Silver actors will be reached by organizing focus groups, round tables, workshops and dissemination events;

2. to create a mobile application with a “game soul” introduces the gamification as a mechanism to promote the wellbeing through “rewards” based on correctness of Mediterranean Diet. This app will have a further section to act as a sort of "diary" to measure the progresses and will record the travelling experience.;
